Job Description:

The University of Kansas School of Law seeks an experienced clinical legal educator to serve as the director of the Family Health Care Legal Services Clinic.  This clinic provides legal assistance to clients referred from the Southwest Boulevard Family Health Care Clinic, University of Kansas Medical Center, and other community health centers and hospitals in Kansas City, KS.  Current practice areas include health law, family law, housing, income support, consumer law, disability law, elder law, immigration, and general representation of low-income parties

The Atlanta Legal Aid Society seeks a staff attorney to work in the Health Law Partnership (“HeLP”).  This project is an interdisciplinary collaboration among Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, and Georgia State University College of Law.  The project aims to improve the health and well-being of low-income children by addressing the multiple social and legal determinants of children’s health.

Medical-Legal Partnership | Boston provides direct legal services to low income patients at Boston Medical Center.  The goal of MLP | Boston is to ensure that patients receive assistance with “social determinants of health” and that assistance is provided before problems rise to the level of a crisis.  Patients are referred directly by medical providers, whom MLP | Boston trains to recognize possible legal needs.  MLP | Boston assists patients in a variety of areas, including housing, education, income supports, family law, and legal status.
