Associate Professor of Pediatrics, University of Virginia Children's Hospital

Diane Pappas is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital, where she is the Director of Child Advocacy responsible for the advocacy training of pediatric residents.  She has an active general pediatric practice serving a rural population. She is also a licensed attorney.

In partnership with the Legal Aid Justice Center and the University of Virginia School of Law, she has developed and implemented a medical-legal partnership for children on-site at the medical center and is actively pursuing the development of a network of medical-legal partnerships throughout Virginia.  She is also an Assistant National Medical Director on the  National Medical-Legal Partnership Medical Advisory Board and a co-leader of the MLP Capacity and Sustainability Workgroup.
