The Atlantic Philanthropies is currently supporting a major program evaluation at Boston Medical Center focused on measuring the impact of medical-legal partnerships in the clinic and community.
The Atlantic Philanthropies awards grants to carefully selected organizations that serve disadvantaged people to help these organizations increase their reach and impact, and advocate for social change.
The Atlantic Philanthropies' grantmaking is strategically focused to have an impact on critical social problems related to older adults, children, people with little or no access to health care, people who are being denied basic human rights, and people struggling to live in peace with their neighbors. They chose these programming areas because they provide profound opportunities to make lasting improvements.
Through this partnership, the unmet legal or environmental needs of patients can be addressed before they reach crisis proportions. The AMA encourages physicians to develop medical-legal partnerships, and we will help them do this by creating a model agreement and working with key stakeholders on education.
